A fire risk assessment reflects the premises as they were on the day of inspection, based on what could be seen without opening up construction, and on the information provided to us. Buildings change: occupancy shifts, layouts are altered, systems fall out of service. An assessment does not remain valid indefinitely and should be kept under review.
Engaging us does not transfer legal duties. The Responsible Person for the premises remains accountable for fire safety, for acting on the recommendations made, and for reviewing the assessment when circumstances change.
We cannot guarantee that a building will pass an inspection by an enforcing authority, satisfy an insurer, or be free from fire. Our role is to identify risks and recommend proportionate measures with reasonable skill and care.
